Join us for Portage la Prairie’s very own multicultural festival, brought to you in partnership between the Fort la Reine Museum and Portage Learning and Literacy Centre! The first annual I Heart Heritage Festival is a large-scale celebration and exhibition of our regional cultural diversity and histories. Learn about our vibrant community as you explore over 15 cultural pavilions throughout the Museum grounds: Mexico, Dakota, Greece, Syria, Africa (Nigeria, Ethiopia, Morocco), India, Hutterian, Philippines, Ukrainian, Irish/Celtic, Belize, Nepal, Bangladesh, and more! Enjoy the beer gardens filled with domestic and international beverages, food vendors, heritage activities, and a main stage for cultural performances throughout the afternoon and evening!

When: Saturday, August 17th (3:00-8:00pm) rain or shine!
Where: Fort la Reine Museum – Entrance/Exit through the Visitor Centre
Cost: Entry is by donation (all proceeds will go towards sustaining the festival for years to come)
Bring: A lawn chair, and umbrella if needed

Interested in volunteering or performing on the main stage? Please reach out to the Museum or PLLC for more information. Thank you to our current sponsors and supporters who have made the festival possible: RM of Portage la Prairie, City of Portage la Prairie, United Way Central Plains.
