Portage Accessible Careers and Employment Program
Overview
Portage Accessible Careers and Employment Program provides employability and skills upgrading as well as supported work experience placements to help participants prepare for, obtain and keep employment.
Eligibility
The program provides supports for integrating participants with disabilities or impairments related to mental health, physical health and/or learning disorders, and will also support employers in the Manitoba labour market.
Compensation
Participants are compensated (minimum wage) for:
- Skills for Employment Training (120 hrs)
- Work Experience placement (approximately 375 hours)
Selection Process
There are limited spots available.
We select and evaluate applicants to learn about their challenges and what they may need to succeed in training and placements.
Once accepted into the program, we work with each participant to tailor a suitable training schedule.
