We are looking for dedicated volunteers to fill the following positions:
Language Buddy/Small Group Facilitator(s)
The PLLC is currently looking for volunteers to be a Language Buddy/Facilitator for small group sessions to help approx. 3-5 newcomers practice their English. The sessions are currently held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings, but we are in need of volunteers to help run the evening sessions (from 6:30pm to 8:30pm) during the same time as the formal ESL classes at the PLLC. It is not formal and we can provide you with resources and class topic ideas, but much of what you will be discussing in class will be based on what the newcomers want to talk about and learn. It can be very fun and interactive, and the newcomers are very appreciative of your time and assistance. If you are interested and available, please let us know.
